Definition:
According to Brown and Weiner,”envoronmental scanning is a kind of radar to scan the world systematically and signal the new, unexpected the major and the minor”.
Meaning:
The environmental scanning in business means to carefully analyze the various factors influencing the business.
Scope of The Business Environment
The multidimensional activities involved in bringing raw material to the factory and the end product from there to the market constitute the scope of the Business Environment.
Social environment:
social environment factors consists of human relationships and the development.
Some of the important factors that affect social environment are buying and consumption habit of people, their languages, tastes and preferences etc.
For example, in some languages Pepsi Cola’s slogan “Come Alive” translates as “Come out of the grave”.

the Industrial policy regulates the industrial economy in a substantial manner.
