Bank Locker System Abstract
Abstract
In context of Nepal all the earlier locking systems are non‐programmable i.e. the mechanical
systems should be handled by a person through his mechanical effort. They can be directly
locked or unlocked by the authorized staffs of the banks through their mechanical arrangement
not through the electronically controlled mechanical arrangement. This project Bank Locker
System intended to modify the old existing manually controlled mechanical system by
microcontroller based electronically controlled mechanical system. Our project can easily and
safely lock and unlock the mechanical lockers through the password protection which can be
programmed. The present system is very user friendly in the sense that the used electronic
components are easily available and understood by the user. This project is a basic combination
of hardware and software part. In this circuit we have used a keypad for user to enter the data
and a LCD to display and both parts are interfaced with the 8051 microcontroller. In context of
project Bank Locker System we can activate or deactivate eleven mechanical devices through a
single electronic system. Each device is locked using a four digit code (password). The code can
be set as per the user’s desire while programming the microcontroller. For the device to be
activated (unlocked), the user should enter the corresponding device password. And for
unlocking the corresponding opened device we have used a common switch and by pressing
the common switch we can lock the device. The password protection used in this system makes
the project very safe because the password is only known to the authorized staffs of banks.
