Due to fuel crises and increasing pollution. There is a need of eco-friendly Vehicle. This lead to produce for bio-bike or to convert petrol bike into bio-gas bike with certain modification. Bio bike consist of four main component 1.Gas storage tank. 2.Regulation kit. 3.Filter. 4.Rubber tube 1.Gas storage tank:- it is simply a tank use to store gas and supply to engine. 2.Regulation kit:- it is a kit which regulate or to maintain the flow of gas continuous 3.Filter :- Filter is used for remove the moisture present in gas. 4.Rubber tube:- Rubber tubes are used to connect the various devices to engine cylinder.
Due to fuel crises and increasing pollution. There is a need of eco-friendly Vehicle. This lead to produce for bio-bike or to convert petrol bike into bio-gas bike with certain modification.
Bio bike consist of four main component
1.Gas storage tank.
2.Regulation kit.
3.Filter.
4.Rubber tube
1.Gas storage tank:- it is simply a tank use to store gas and supply to engine.
2.Regulation kit:- it is a kit which regulate or to maintain the flow of gas continuous
3.Filter :- Filter is used for remove the moisture present in gas.
4.Rubber tube:- Rubber tubes are used to connect the various devices to engine cylinder.
Bio-Gas and petrol are 90% similar for supplying to engine cylinder. Only difference is that Bio-Gas is directly supply in combustion chamber and air is drawn from carburetor.
As uses 4-stoke petrol engine so working is similar to 4-stroke engine.
1.Suction stroke:- When piston moves from T.D.C. to B.D.C. pressure is less in cylinder than that of atmosphere so vacuum is created inside the cylinder due to which air is suck from carburetor along with Bio-Gas is enter in combustion chamber.
2.Compression Stroke:- When piston moves from B.D.C. to T.D.C. it compressed the charge present in engine cylinder which rises the temperature and pressure of charge at the end of compression stroke spark will take place.
3.Expansion/power stroke:- In this stroke piston is moved from T.D.C. to B.D.C. due to burning of charge and work done on piston by gases it develops power hence, it is called power stroke.
4.Exhaust Stroke: After the end of power stroke piston moves from B.D.C. to T.D.C. it allows to escape the exhaust gases in to atmosphere through exhaust valve.
Bio-Gas fuel is easily obtained from Bio-Gas plant. Its construction is very easy with low skill required e.g. 10 feet depth and 10 feet diameter. The amount required for construction is 10,000 to 15, 000. only the main advantage is that raw material is used for making gas is cattle dung, wastage food.
Caloric value of Bio-Gas is 50,000 to 55,000.
55% CH4 (methane)
45% CO2 (carbondioxide)
also in small amount H2 & H2S are present in it. In present day’s the value of petrol is touch to sky but Bio-Gas is more economical as compare to petrol and in pollution point of view Bio-Gas is less pollunt than petrol.
Depending upon the requirement we can modify it.
