Abstracts: The project performed by us, COMMS – Computerized Office-based Manpower Management System, was initiated as a result of the requirement of the Pelican Industries, Rajkot. The primary requirement was the need of software which will handle the task of managing the employee data. Gradually, a need of more enhanced application software arose and hence several other functionalities were added as a part of the requirement to the project. The software is aimed at satisfying the end user’s demand of Speedy and Efficient execution in the given environment. For this purpose, the software is divided into six basic modules that individually can perform the activities resulting in a whole. The Interview module is for managing the candidates’ and trainees’ data. The Employee module will automatically assign an ID initially and hence on the basis of that the employee can be identified. Login Module will decide the credentials while Salary module gives an effective way to manage employee salaries. The Attendance & Leave module targets the management of presence and absence of the employee. The Other features module includes the extra facilities like: Message Passing, Data Backup, Integration with existing website dynamically etc. Hence, COMMS aims to simplify Manpower Management task in any industry or organization.
