Introduction;
Now days Maximum demand controller & Power factor controllers are much useful for all type of industries. Maximum demand controller itself consists of measurement of units consumed by industry. By using microcontroller we can monitor all the parameters and control, in our project.
Scope of the projects:
In this project we are going to build individual monitoring systems with a single microcontroller. In that microcontroller itself you can maintain for maximum demand at the interval of few seconds. By measuring the power factor we can calculate whether the P.F. is unity, lagging or leading according to the P.F. we can switch a capacitor bank to get unity power factor. This project is very useful in industries to control the load.
Brief methodology:
This project is designed with
Microcontroller
IR transmitter and receiver
Relay with driver circuit
LCD display
Relay with capacitor bank
The P.T. & C.T. O/P will be given to zero crossing detectors and two O/P of zero crossing detectors will be given to P.F. measurement and that will be given to a microcontroller directly.
The energy is calculated with the help of IR transmitter and IR receiver fixed in the energy meter. For each rotation of energy meter is counted through IR sensor. Each rotation found out by hole made in the plate of energy meter. For each rotation it will calculate the count and for a 10 count microcontroller automatically increment a unit by one. If the energy will exceed the particular amount in few seconds then the relay will be switched to OFF condition.
Advantage:
• Maintain the demanded energy with low cost
• Efficient output maintenance
• Reliable
• Easy to implement
• Efficient
