Introduction
A research was carried out on CONSUMER PREFERENCE FOR WATCHING MOVIES IN THEATRES.
A random sample of 50 as the population was taken as the base for the research.
Certain questions related to
1) Movies, 2) Time preference, 3) Expense,
4) Facilities, 5) Day and Time, etc were answered by the respondents.
Objective
1) To know how much does the population spends on movies in a month?
2) What type of movies do population like to watch?
3) Is time an important factor for watching a movie for the people?
4) What type of facilities are preferred by the people who come in the theatres?
5) Do people think that seeing a movie is a good source of entertainment to them?
Conclusion
The main objective of the questionnaire survey was to provide a basic overview of the research on consumer preference out of 50 sample size for watching movies from which we found that:
1) 66% of the people are willing to spend money on gold tickets to watch a movie whose rates are mostly lying in 300-400.
2) People are much willing to watch Bollywood movies & that also in 2D version.
3) For 70% of the population time was an important factor & majority goes to watch night shows.
