1.1. Introduction to Topic
Drug abuse is becoming a serious problem in India. Thanks to the easy availability of various addictive substances and inadequate control, drug abuse has assumed an alarming proportion both in the urban and rural areas. Fast-growing unemployment in rural India and the outgoing personality of the average Indian have given a boost to the problem. Many research workers, social scientists and religious organizations have been regularly pointing towards the rising incidence of alcohol and drug abuse.
My project report is based on Analytical and Survey Study through questionnaire. The study deals with the comparative study of various Pharmaceutical Companies that deals in manufacturing commonly used drugs like Antibiotics, Antifungal, and Topical Steroids etc. The study is related to study their average sales in comparison with each other, their schemes and brand loyalty of customer.
Besides the study also gives graphical representation for these companies based on the information gathered from some of the dealers chosen for this very study
Consumer perception
How do Buyers form their preference? Their preferences are influenced by their past buying experience, friend’s and associate’s advice, and the marketer’s and competitor’s information and promises. Though customer preference is a very qualitative term and it is very difficult to measure. In this study an effort has been made to measure the customer preference level.
Customer Satisfaction
“Satisfaction is a person’s feelings of pleasure or disappointment resulting from comparing a product’s perceived performance in relation to his or her expectation”
As the definition makes it clear, satisfaction is a function of perceived performance and expectations. If the performance falls short of the expectations of the customer, the customer is dissatisfied. If the performance exceeds the expectations, the customer is highly satisfied or delighted.
Many companies are aiming for high satisfaction because customers who are just satisfied still find it easy to switch, when a better offer comes along. Those who are highly satisfied are much less ready to switch. High satisfaction or delight creates an emotional affinity with the brain, not just a rational preference. The result is high customer loyalty.
In this highly competitive world customers plays a very important role. Thus, if a company wants to survive then it should look forward to the determinants of customer satisfaction. Though it is a very subjective issue that differs from individual to individual yet, identifying some basic parameters of customer satisfaction is important.
Satisfaction is a person’s feeling of pleasure and disappointment resulting from comparing a product’s perceived performance in relation to his or her expectations. It is only the customer delight that marketer aims for.

Establishment and Upgrading of Manufacturing Facilities
It is apparent that there is excess pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity in SA and that a new manufacturer could establish production merely by contracting out to existing operators. However, much of the machinery is old and has been poorly maintained. Whilst there is a clear need to replace old machinery that keeps breaking down limited market opportunities and a perceived adverse investment climate discourage such capital expenditure. The establishment of a state-of-the-art tabletting plant is estimated to cost in the order of R30 million. In other areas such as sterile plants it is necessary to update equipment every five years in order to stay competitive.
There is no clear link between the physical location of R&D facilities, regions for clinical trials and actual manufacturing sites. Multinational companies often operate R&D facilities at separate facilities to their manufacturing operations. Clinical trials are also conducted in required geographic areas that suit trial requirements. South Africa, for example, is estimated by various sources to attract nearly 10% of clinical trial work done by major multinational companies, whilst practically no original research into new molecules is being conducted here.

CONCLUSION
In their conclusion we can say the people are not much aware about the company’s products and the company need to advertise the product and they should conduct survey time to time and in conclusion we can say Company should go for strip packing as generally Dr. doesn’t prescribe medicine for 30 days so it makes it difficult to go with glass bottle. Moreover strip can be sold in open or loose form this increases sales comparatively. Vitamin E product mostly (90%) runs on Dr.’s prescription whereas OTC sale is negligible (1-2 boxes per month). Only 400mg capsule is in demand whereas it is not available in other forms like as liquid etc. Laborate should capture this opportunity as there are not many players in this segment. In my opinion Tentative MRP along with Brand Name is:
