INTRODUCTION:
Hi friends..today our group are talking about the Disadvantages and drawback of the mobile phone.
We agree that mobile phone has lots of function.Such as surf the net search tool dictionary , calendar and cacelator etc.
But u don’t think that is good enough.because it also has some drawbacks.
it wastes of material ,because some of people may have more than 1 mobile phone , pepole may use the function of mobile to do some not illegal things.
The main drawback is the nuclear, it may affect us and it is harmful. Nowadays people spend lots of time in using the mobile phone .
So, it is unhealthy
MAJOR DISADVANTAGES:
An Unsafe Safety Standard
Negative Health Effects
Male Infertility
The Effect on Children
Mobile Phones and Driving
An Unsafe Safety Standard:
The FCC is required by the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 to evaluate the effect of emissions from FCC-regulated transmitters on the quality of the human environment. At the present time there is no federally-mandated radio frequency (RF) exposure standard.
The SAR is a value that corresponds to the relative amount of RF energy absorbed in the head of a user of a wireless handset. The FCC limit for public exposure from cellular telephones is an SAR level of 1.6 watts per kilogram (1.6 W/kg).[7]
Negative Health Effects:
Electromagnetic waves alter [electric activity of the brain] and cause disturbance in sleep ; cause difficulty in concentration, fatigue, and headache ; and increase reaction time in a time-dependent manner . They increase the resting blood pressure and reduce the production of melatonin . They are also implicated in DNA strand breaks.
Mobile phones damage key brain cells and could trigger the early onset of Alzheimer’s disease. …Researchers have found that radiation from mobile phone handsets damages areas of the brain associated with learning, memory and movement.
The Effect on Children:
A one year old could absorb around double [the radio frequency (RF) radiation], and a five year old around 60%, more than an adult. Additionally, since children are being exposed to RF radiation from base stations (and from mobile phones) from a younger age than adults, they will have a longer time in which to accumulate exposure over the course of their lives, and a longer time for any delayed effects of exposure to develop.
Conclusion:
Mobile phone is useful, but it may also be a harmful tool! It is known that radiation from mobile handset is harmful to our brain. It may cause brain cancer even it is still under proof. Furthermore, due to its convenience, people used to talk with mobile phone, rather than having face-to-face connection. It greatly hurts our human inter-relationship.
So we try not to use our mobile phone all the time! Thank you!
