Abstracts: In the cement industry, Silo is used as a storage bunker for cement and ash. When there is a requirement of cement or ash, It is delivered through the screw-conveyor. Silo has basically three components (a) Storage Tank (b) Gate-Valve © Screw-Conveyor. After Designing Gate-Valve which is provided in between Storage Bin and Screw-Conveyor in previous semester, our focus is to design a screw conveyor which is capable to sustain such high load and also capable to meet required delivery of cement. While making concrete, there is a requirement of proper proportion of sand, aggregate, additives and mainly cement. So our aim is to design a screw-conveyor which is easily control delivery rate. For Designing of screw-conveyor, starting with a identifying and understanding a component of screw-conveyor, we are studying standard of “ANSI-CEMA (Conveyor Equipments Manufacturers Association)” for Screw-Conveyor. From that, we are first select a standard procedure for designing a screw-conveyor. After that we are designing its each and every component and determining its dimension. After designing of component, They are checked for their torsional and other loading to determine whether design is safe or not for given load. After that we are modelling a screw conveyor in Creo.
