Abstracts: Diamond coated wheel is used for grinding high precision work piece. But for that it must have an accurate peripheral surface as well as radius. Accuracy of grinding wheel is most important factor in industry for precise grinding and surface finishing. But here the problem occurs in this project is inaccurate peripheral radius and it is difficult to grind the diamond coated wheel by manual machine setup. Also cost is another factor for making such equipment so automation is also not used here. Because the requirement of products manufactured by diamond coated wheel is minimum per month as well as throughout the year. So it is necessary to build a manual machine setup for acquiring a accurate radius on the wheel. First option for that is designing a setup for grinding a wheel on lathe machine but the problem or say difficulty occur in this method is centering of 2 head centre(tailstock and headstock plus tool post) and need of rotary table as well as its setup is difficult on the lathe machine. Second option is to build a separate manual machine setup by using rotary table, cross slide and other needed equipment according to the design. But by preparing its designing, problem occur in this option is 1) Cost, 2) Height between work piece and tool post and 3) Vibrations effects. So at the end third option is designing this setup according to the 2nd option placed on milling machine , because the design of 2nd option is similar to milling machine plus it minimize the cost and vibration effects and provide ease.
