Experimental Studies on Treatment of Textile Waste Water Using Natural Coagulants
Abstract
Waste water treatment process is rapidly advancing and more treatment procedures were being created due to the
research works, also the complexity of the process is steadily increasing. Many processes and techniques that are used for waste
water treatment process produce harmful byproducts and finding a naturally viable solutions is the only alternative. In this study
an effort is made by the authors to treat the textile dye waste obtained from Tirupur using natural coagulants. Various natural
coagulants that are studied by researchers were studied initially and other new natural coagulants that are viable in treatment is
also tested with the sample waste water for removal of colour, turbidity and also reduction of TDS. Many natural coagulants
proved to be effective in removal of colour, turbidity and also there is a drastic reduction in TDS if combination of two or more
coagulants is used.
