Abstracts: Water turbines are widely used into the power generation .By allowing fluid under pressure to strike on the blades of turbine wheel, mechanical work can be produced by rotational motion of turbine wheel. This mechanical work can be converted into useful power by connecting generator to the turbine shaft. The impact of water on the vanes generates a torque on the turbine shaft causes it to rotate and generate the power .To determine it the force of the jet on the vanes was must determined. How the deflection of the jet generates a force is related to the rate of change of momentum flow in the fluid jet needed. So this experiment aims that different forces exerted by the same water jet on various geometrics in blades. The principal objective of this laboratory exercise is to experimentally determine the impact force of a jet deflected through a known angle and to compare it with the experimental results to establish prediction about the difference between experimental and measured force. The impact of a jet experiment is conducted using known diameter of nozzle. Data is then collected at various flow rates of and the experimental reaction force was determined and compared to the theoretical reaction force using various equations.
