INSTALLATION
Air compressor is positioned at a distance away from main shop and installation area in most plants.
Pipeline fittings and joints are mostly responsible for pressure drop.
The generation and compression of air should be kept low.
Installation of FRL unit
Filter is installed upstream from other conditioning components.
Install filter in each branch
Regulators are installed at branches which requires a specified pressure settings.
Lubricators are installed at downstream.
Installation of Pneumatic cylinder
Cylinder mounts should be securely fixed and evenly fastened.
Cylinder should be perfectly aligned for efficient and trouble free operation.
A proper support should be placed at the end of rod.
Cylinders must be properly lubricated.
Installation of pipe lines
Place adequate filter between main and circuit.
Install the air main such that it can be accessible from all sides for ease of inspection.
Horizontal runs of air line should be sloped one or two percent towards the flow direction.
Branch lines should always be started from the top of main line
Installation of compressor
The compressor intake should be taken from the outside air and not be located in an enclosed court yard.
The open end of the intake pipe of the compressor must be well hooded and screened to prevent rain and dirt from entering.
The intake pipe should be as short as possible with a direct connection to the unit.
