Innovation is a continuous process and need for innovative process chemistry ever increasing bioactive molecules . Present work has been undertaken to develop innovative processes for some bioactive molecules. Some significant modification has been done in process chemistry of Exemestane and oxcarbamazepine by using hypervalent iodine reagentds.
Hypervalent iodine chemistry especially and compounds has been exploited in various fields of synthetic organic chemistry because of simplicity in use. Using this reagent some novel methodologies has been developed. A single step direct oxidation of olefins to -bromo ketones has been developed with better efficiency, Reaction is much faster and mild than other methods.Cyanamides are important precursors of many biologically active compounds such as guanidine, urea and is a good protecting group as well. Novel and facile method has been developed for direct conversion of N,N-disubstituted glycinamides to corresponding cyanimides by using IBX and TEAB, This transformation has potential for development of innovative processes.
