MOBILITY MANAGEMENT OF USING BANDWIDTH EFFICIENTLY IN WIRELESS NETWORKS
MOBILITY MANAGEMENT.pptx (Size: 289.55 KB / Downloads: 24)
INTRODUCTION:
The 4th generation networks support wireless technologies.
No changes to the IP stack.
It does not introduces any payload traffic.
Bandwidth consumption.
It uses a make-before-break principle.
It connects mobile nodes to home network.
ACCESS NETWORKS:
DHCP server.
Access network gateway
It supports Layer 2 Tunneling (L2TP) or Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE).
HOME NETWORKS:
Tunnel factory mobility management entity.
Incoming traffic to the appropriate tunnel.
PROPOSE SYSTEM
It removes tunneling overhead.
It gives user-perceived quality of service.
Implementation of tunneling concept.
MN and central mobility management entity were implemented using Fedora 14 platform.
WLAN access network connected to HN using GRE tunneling & authenticating and authorizing users.
Public CDMA 2000 network used for L2TP tunneling to HN.
ADVANTAGES
Smooth transition
Efficient bandwidth allocation
Seamless mobility
