SQA Definition:
SQA is a sector wide function formed to improve supplier performance as well as to sustain the same through concern resolution process and periodic reviews such as Vendor Quality Index (VQI) monitoring, System Audits, Product & Process Audits and Concern based Audits at Supplier Sites.
Goals:
1. To improve supplier quality performance.
2. To improve supplier quality response time.
3. To improve suppliers’ process capabilities .
4. To initiate firewalls and Poka-Yoke for filtering the non-conformities at suppliers’ end.
5.To Feed 100% OK part to the line.
Functions:
1- Measuring, Monitoring and Improving the supplier performance
2- Standardizing concern resolution process and improve the concern resolution time.
3- Conducting supplier audits such as SCAP audit, process audit, product audit, system audit, firewall audit and monitoring corrective action plan base on audit findings.
4- Daily line concern monitoring and implementation of control of nonconforming product process followed by supplier corrective action process.
