Reforming of methane is basically a chemical synthesis or a chemical process which can produce synthesis gas used in the formation of methanol and di-methyl ether. Tri reforming in particular is the process in which all the other reforming i.e. steam reforming, bi-reforming and partial combustion takes place. Since it uses the two most important greenhouse gases i.e. CO2 and CH4; it has become an environment friendly as well as a sustainable method. Research in this field is going on worldwide and is under continuous development. The main objective of the project is to develop nickel catalyst over Ceria-Zirconium support with Magnesium as precursor so that tri-reforming reactions can be done. The report highlights the performance of Ni-MgO-CeO2-ZrO2 catalysts under various reaction conditions. Several catalyst characterisation techniques such as BET, XRD, TEM, SEM-EDS, FTIR were done to explain the effects of the synthesis parameters on the reaction performances [2]. The reaction was carried in a fixed bed quartz tube which in turn was used to load catalyst and perform reactions and
