Abstracts: Wankel Engine is a rotary type internal combustion engine with rotor piston which have the shape of rauleax triangle and housing with trochoidal profile. Over the commonly use reciprocating engine it delivers advantages of: simplicity, smoothness, compactness, high revolutions per minute and a high power to weight ratio. The engine was first invented by German engineer Felix Wankel. The purpose for the modification of Wankel Engine is to develop a new design and arrangement for sealing in the Engine which reduces leakage of charges, reduces friction and increase efficiency. The objective is to develop a new design for apex seal which cylindrical in shape and in rolling contact with the housing. Several attempts were made around the world continuously in modification of the sealing in the engine, but they are still not able to deliver the best. The reason is simply the use of traditional flat plate type apex seal which worn out soon and engine went out of service. The maintenance of the engine with this apex seals is very costly and unsuitable for heavy load. Therefore we made an effort by modifying the design of the apex seal and arrangement or fitting of sealing. We are doing this changes to reduce friction and to increase overall efficiency.
