Abstracts: Most people are interested in news websites whose content changes on an unpredictable schedule. Examples of such websites are CNN.com, BBC.co.uk, GOAL.com, DAILYMAIL.co.uk and many more. Repeatedly checking each news website to see if there is any new content can be very tedious. Email notification of changes was an early solution to this problem. Unfortunately, when you receive email notifications from multiple websites, they are usually disorganized and can get overwhelming, and are often mistaken for spam. News Feeder provides a better way to be notified of relevant and latest news updates. Notifications of changes to multiple websites are handled easily, and the results are presented to you well organized and distinct from email. News Feeder is a website which reduces the time and effort needed to regularly check sites for updates, creating a unique information space or "personal newspaper". Once subscribed to this website, the site is able to check for new content or updates for user-selected categories and retrieves the updates. The categories are provided by the site and the user can select more than one topic from the given categories. The main goal of this thesis is to set up an on-line web portal that provides a great way of delivering constant and updated news content in different categories to news readers, thus creating an easy to use resource that keeps the important information at the user‘s fingertips.
