Abstracts: The use of natural light is very beneficial in buildings because energy consumption can be reduced and working conditions can be enhanced which positively affect occupants and health and productivity. This project reviews the issue using tubular sky lighting in buildings. Tubular skylights are placed at the roof buildings, often used for day lighting. Tubular skylight provides better light system and reduces electricity builds on lights, distributed evenly over affected areas. Tubular skylights admit more light per unit area than windows, and distribute it more evenly over a space. The realization that there is a need to conserve energy in India has brought about a reviewed interest in the use of natural lighting systems to provide light within buildings during daylight hours. The object of this project is to develop a scientific, engineering and economical integration of day-lighting concepts into the utilization into the building design. This project promote daylight conscious buildings design by saving energy through greater utilization of natural light, while at the same time improving visual comfort and control of solar gains.
