There are various types of couplings available to transmit the power from one shaft to another broadly classified in two categories, one for transmit power between line shaft & another for offset shaft. For various offset distances, novel coupling is best suitable for joining two shafts. Novel coupling can be used for in line as well as offset shafts while working in loading condition. In this coupling, there are 3 discs connected by means of flexible novel linkages, parallel link connections between disks exactly duplicate motion input & output shafts. This is basic new principle used in coupling.
