Abstracts: Payroll is the total amount of money paid by a firm to its employees over a period of time. It is the sum of all the financial records of the wages, bonuses and deductions from the salary of an employee. Payroll is calculated on monthly or yearly basis. Maintaining a payroll data manually is a very complex process as:- One always finds difficulty in dealing with various taxes, knowing about unknown deductions, exception and credits. Access and maintenance of the data stored is difficult. Manual form filling procedures are not easy, for Provident funding consultant dependency is required. In case of disasters one would find it difficult to retrieve their data. The payroll system keeps accurate employee data stored in an easily accessible database. The system has the ability to update and maintain employee information and to generate required outputs including payslips, reports to management and reports to the government. Each week, data on the current pay period is entered into the system and verified. This data is used to update the employee master file with appropriate additions, changes and deletions and to generate required output. The entire information has maintained in the database or Files and whoever wants to retrieve can?t retrieve, only authorization user can retrieve the necessary information which can be easily be accessible from the file.As the conclusion , it has many advantages for payroll administrator by using the payroll system to control all the payroll transaction.
