Abstracts: Our project is concerned on performance improvement of four stroke I.C engine by using vapour fuel technology. As we know that now a day our I.C engine efficiency is in range of 20% to 30% and many losses occur in engine. If we want to increase it,we have to minimise losses. There are many losses in the engine like heat loss, friction loss, inertia loss, combustion loss Etc. In our project we have concentrated in minimizing the heat and combustion losses. For that it is necessary that maximum amount of fuel energy must be absorbed in engine combustion chamber. So, in our project we replaced convention fuel intake system by another system called “fuel vapour system”. In which fuel supplied to engine in form of vapour. This results in complete combustion and more power is developed by engine. Thus performance of the engine improved. In our project we compared both conventional carburettor and fuel vapour system in same engine to check performance parameters like brake thermal efficiency,BSFC,and exhaust emission.
