Non-verAbal Communication:-
Non-Verbal Comm. means all communication that involves neither written nor spoken words but occurs without the use of words.
Non -Verbal Communication is the message or response not expressed or sent in words -hints , suggestions , indications.
What is Kinesis:-
The bodily gestures, postures, and facial expressions by which a person communicates nonverbally with others.
In other words, it is the way the body communicates without words that is through various movements of its parts.
Ex. Nodding your head, blinking your eyes, waving the hands.
Study of Body Positions:-
Open
Allow for access to information
Related to power & high immediacy
Closed
Deny access to information
Related to power & low or no immediacy
Kinesis Includes:-
Posture:-Posture can signal both the enduring characteristics of a person (character, temperament, etc.), and his or her current emotions and attitudes. Therefore, posture can be considered in the context of a given situation, and independently of it.
Gesture:-A gesture is a form of non-verbal communication in which visible bodily actions communicate particular messages, either in place of speech or together and in parallel with spoken words. Gestures include movement of the hands, face, or other parts of the body.
