Abstract
An embedded system is a special-purpose computer system designed to
perform a dedicated function. Since the system is dedicated to specific tasks,
design engineers can optimize it, reducing the size and cost of the product.
Embedded system comprises of both hardware and software. Embedded system
is fast growing technology in various fields like industrial automation, home
appliances, automobiles, aeronautics etc. Embedded technology uses PC or a
controller to do the specified task and the programming is done using assembly
language programming or embedded C.
Automation of a department plays a major role in integrating the various
functions associated with it. This needs to tie up the various sources of the
department in a closed loop system. This proposal greatly reduces the
manpower, saves time and operates efficiently without human interference. This
project puts forth the first step in achieving the desired target.
In this project we are going to control the DC/AC motor using the System.
From the System we are going to give the commands through the front end
software Dot Net. The parameters are sending through the serial port. The values
are obtained through the microcontroller. According to the commands received
the operations are performed. And the parameters also monitored and updated
with the system database.
