BI-DIRECTIONAL VISITOR 1.doc (Size: 65.5 KB / Downloads: 21)
Parts list:
• Microcontroller
• Transformer
• Two 7-segment display
• Two IR transmitter receiver
• LEDs
• BCD-Seven segment decoder
• Operational amplifier
• Diodes
• Resistors
• Voltage regulator
Working:
The AC power supply is supplied to the transformer to obtain the desired voltage.
The transformer output rectified using bridge rectifier and fed to the microcontroller.
The IR transmitter and receiver are placed in line facing each other. When it is disrupted
signal is sent to operational amplifier. The operational amplifier output is fed to the
microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to increment its register value. This
BCD value is decoded to display the number in the seven segment display. Similar to the
Increment of register at the entrance the microcontroller is programmed to decrement when
received signal from the exit.
Conclusion:
The number of persons entering and leaving a room is counted using microcontroller
and the count is displayed using seven segment display
