AIM:
The main objective of this project is to develop an embedded system of solar panel which will track the sun using time.
NEED FOR PROJECT:
This project “SENSOR LESS TRACKING SYSTEM FOR THE SOLAR PANEL BY TIMED MOVEMENT”
It will be use full to gain the maximum solar power according to the sun available directions.
This solar panel will move according to time, like for example in the morning time it will east side direction while the time is passing the motor will rotate to the top direction by afternoon it will shows to the top direction and by evening the direction will be at west side.
COMPONENTS:
1.REGULATED POWER SUPPLY
2. RTC
3. 8051 MICRO CONTROLLER
4. STEPPER MOTOR
5. SOLAR PANEL
RTC description:
The DS1307 Serial Real-Time Clock is a low-power; full binary-coded decimal (BCD) clock/calendar plus 56 bytes of NV SRAM.
Address and data are transferred serially via a 2-wire, bi-directional bus.
The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The end of the month date is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year.
The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator.
TheDS1307 has a built-in power sense circuit that detects power failures and automatically switches to the battery supply.
ADVANTAGES:
Low cost
Easy to use for rural areas
Automated operation and Low Power consumption
APPLICATIONS:
Large conventional solar power plants
