Abstracts: The main expectation of Indian Customer before buying any vehicle is the affordable mileage, cost and then comfort. Comfort is the least and the last requirement while using engines for agricultural application. Generally for agricultural applications, it is common practise to use Diesel Engines because of their higher torque and higher thermal efficiency. The fuel consumption of the vehicle plays a very role directly and indirectly. However the main drawbacks of Diesel Engines are PM and NOx emissions. If engine can be able to give the optimum Fuel Consumption then it means that engine is capable of producing the desired power and torque apart from satisfying stringent emission norms. So, fuel consumption is very vital parameter in developing the engine. There is various numbers of ways in improving the fuel economy of vehicle. Of all the possible ways in improving the fuel consumption, the most desired way would always be the one, which can be achieved in short time and also with lowest possible cost. Some ways would be in cost but it affects the other parameters
