A Project Report on SCHOOL MANAGEMENT SYSYEM
ABSTRACT OF PROJECT
The project “School Management System’ is developed to manage various projects handled by the organization. It keeps record of a medicinal company, its all distributers, the customers, their billing details and the records of all the medicines, medicine available stock, dead stock, etc.
The project also specifies the name of the various distributers, customers under the various distributers, information about the stock of the medicine and also provide the information of the order given by different customers. The project also provides the information of the customers’ bills on the basis of the order placed by them
Thus the project specifies the information storage of a company dealing with the medicines which include various distributers’ information, customers details, the bill generation of customers and the details of the medicines.
It also deals with the changes that can be easily made in order placed by the customers and changes in the details of the customers time to time. Thus project deals with the maintenance or management of the medicinal organization.
SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE
The Systems development life cycle (SDLC), or Software development process in systems engineering, information systems and software engineering, is a process of creating or altering information systems, and the models and methodologies that people use to develop these systems In software engineering the SDLC concept underpins many kinds of software development methodologies. These methodologies form the framework for planning and controlling the creation of an information system.
INTRODUCTION TO PROJECT
The project “School Management System’ is developed to manage various projects handled by the organization. It keeps record of a medicinal company, its all distributers, the customers, their billing details and the records of all the medicines, medicine available stock , dead stock, etc. This system will perform the following tasks:
The system is meant to provide facilities to record the information of each distributer under the organization.
To record the information of each customer under the organization, their order information, their billing details, etc.
It keeps track of all the information about the stock of the medicine .
The system also deals with the changes that can be easily made in order placed by the customers and changes in the details of the customers time to time.
Front End - Visual Basic 6
Visual Basic is an IDE(integrated development environment) that allow development of the software, running it, debugging ir to find errors etc. in this the word VISUAL specific the property of visualization that every job we do in VB, we can see it, interact with it,.i.e forms, controls, objects, etc. This word Basis specifies that this language has deen derived from the BASIC language.
Back End- Ms-Access
Microsoft Office Access, previously known as Microsoft Access, is a database management system from Microsoft that combines the relational Microsoft Jet Database Engine with a graphical user interface and software-development tools. Software developers and data architects can use Microsoft Access to develop application software, and "power users" can use it to build software applications. Like other Office applications, Access is supported by Visual Basic for Applications, an object-oriented programming language that can reference a variety of objects including DAO (Data Access Objects)
MS-ACCESS
Microsoft Access is an information management tool that helps you store information for reference, reporting, and analysis. Microsoft Access can help you overcome the limitations found when trying to manage large amounts of information in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications.
it's an organized collection of data. A database management system (DBMS) such as Access, FileMaker Pro, Oracle or SQL Server provides you with the software tools you need to organize that data in a flexible manner. It includes facilities to add, modify or delete data from the database, ask questions (or queries) about the data stored in the database and produce reports summarizing selected contents.
ER DIAGRAM
The entity-relationship model (or ER model) is a way of graphically representing the logical relationships of entities (or objects) in order to create a database. In ER modeling, the structure for a database is portrayed as a diagram, called an entity-relationship diagram (or ER diagram), that resembles the graphical breakdown of a sentence into its grammatical parts. Entities are rendered as points, polygons, circles, or ovals. Relationships are portrayed as lines connecting the points, polygons, circles, or ovals. Any ER diagram has an equivalent relational table, and any relational table has an equivalent ER diagram. ER diagramming is an invaluable aid to engineers in the design, optimization, and debugging of database programs.
