0 INTRODUCTION
In almost every big organization, managing people and resources have been a difficult task. For organizations with more than hundred or thousands of employees, managing each employee’s details, loans and advances, attendance, multiple shifts and overtime etc., is impossible without an efficient system.
It is thus felt that a computer based solution be developed, which can assist organizations in meeting their HR needs. The proposed solution, named as “Loan Sys” is a comprehensive software package which would provide the following features:
Introduction
This project brings forth current methods and techniques used in the Requirement Specification of information systems. The highlight here has been the use of various models to define: system scope, domain analysis, functional behavior, system timing, and object definition & design.
The problem in building information systems is dealing with the balance between database design and process design. Designing / building the database and designing / building the software are often treated as separate processes. In this project we explore how these two sides of the coin can be coordinated. Also emphasis has been given to managing software project. A strict vigilance on time schedules and estimations is followed to mitigate time overrun for development and deployment. To accomplish the above stated objectives, I have attempted to create a reasonably sized application consisting of a database and processes. The database will be designed using an ‘Entity-Relationship’ approach. The application will be built using the Unified Modeling Language
Business Process
To understand the business process I have used the UML Activity diagram notation. Activity diagram is the notation for a special form of state machine intended to model computations and workflows.
We allocate responsibility for the process steps in the business process definition by creating swim lanes – areas of diagram with distinct subjects of responsibility.
DESIGN DOCUMENT
This document offers detailed analysis and description of each UML entity described in requirements document. The purpose of this document is to provide complete design requirements, necessary for the implementation of the project.
The document includes the ER Diagram, the table structures and the attributes defined for each table. Also it features the UML description, in form of Sequence Diagram, for each Use Case, defined earlier.
This helps visualize the design requirements, before actual implementation, thereby reduces the development efforts dramatically.
1. SCOPE
Testing is the process of analyzing a software item to detect the differences between existing and required conditions and to evaluate the features of the software item.
Testing also can be considered as verification and validation mechanism to ensure the sound software engineering practice.
2. PRE –REQUISITES
The goal of testing is to find the undiscovered error in software work products and remove them early in software development life cycle. For effective testing, it is necessary that
CONCLUSION
On the basis of the work done in dissertation entitled Commercial Package of HR Dept”, the following conclusions emerge from the development.
1. This project has achieved the objective of replacing/augmenting the conventional system of arranging manpower as could be conducted by a typical telecom dept.
2. The development of this package has been achieved by using C#.NET, which is very conductive to develop the package with regard to time and specific need to the user.
3. This package is highly user friendly, required an optimal minimal input from user while providing highly relevant and focused outputs.
4. Fully automated, avoiding human intervention. Hence it provides a very rapid cost effective alternative to the conventional manual operation/procedures.
5. The system can further extended as per user and administrative requirements to encompass other aspects of employee management for HR dept.
