THEORY:
Full wave rectifier is a circuit, which convers ac voltage into pulsating dc voltage using both half cycles of the applied ac voltage. It uses diodes
of which one conducts during one half cycle while the other conduts during the other half cycle of applied ac voltage. It uses a center tapped
transformer.
During the positive half cycle of input ,the diode D1 is forward biased, diode D2 is reverse biased.Hence D1 conducts and D2 remains OFF.
The load current flows through D1 and voltage drop across RL will be equal to the input voltage.
During the negetive half cycle of the input ,diode D1 remains OFF, D2 conducts. The load current flows through D2 and voltage drop acoss RL
will be equal to the input voltage.
Capacitor is used to reduce the ac component of the output signal.
VARIATION OF PARAMETERS:
If we increase the value of the capacitor from 0.1u-10u-100uF the pulsating component at the output will reduce and we get a pure DC.
CONCLUSION:
Thus by using full wave rectifier filter we can get pure DC from AC.
