PROJECT REPORT:
A project report is an academic record for evaluation, presenting every related facets of facts and figures connected to the project work. The project work is generally assigned to the final semester students of diploma course.
STEPS TO BE TAKEN FOR THE PROJECT REPORT:
Students of the diploma course preferably at the end of the second year:-
Go through some of the project reports presented by their senior students.
Familiarise themselves with the type, mode and style of presentation of the
Interest in the form of project reports.
Get to their lecturers for the necessary guidelines on the scope and study in some facets of that particular branch of diploma.
Get advised as to what could possibly offer itself to be the topic of interest, to be subsequently chosen as the subject matter of his/her project work.
Collect related pieces of information from earlier works on the subject, books and journals.
(If possible) visit websites for further information.
Use the benefits so derived to concentrate on the subject-matter and
Prepare all the more important profile / outline / rough skeletel work of what is likely to become his/her own project report.
GUIDE LINES FOR THE SUCCESFUL COMPLCTION OF THE PROJECT:
Identifying the topic/area for the project.
Procuring materials for the project.
Making use of the data collected on the subject.
Preparing a sample / model / miniature project work as a pre-test / rehearsal and get it evaluated by the guide.
Carrying out the project work at the appropriate / suitable site as may be deemed fit by the guide. Supplying any remedial suggested / remommended by the guide.
Completing the project work wit in the stipulated period of time.
Collecting and noting down on record all the findings after the approval of the guide. While carrying out the project the students will have to apply the general ruler and try to derive certain facts and figures. These facts and figures will have to be collected systematically and pieced together. Then they come out with certain findings as a result of their project work. There findings will have to be methodically presented according to the generally accepted convention of what are called project reports.
THE PROJECT REPORTS GENERALLY THE FOLLOWING CHAPTERS:
1-CHAPTEROF INTRODUCTION:
It outlines the general scope and study of the project.
2-CHAPTER OF THANKSGIVING:
It expresses the students grateful thanks to the head of the Dept., the guide and other such persons who have guided them in the project work.
3-CHAPTER OF PROFILE OF THE PROJECT:
It spells out the previous studies conducted in the area outlining the prospects and envisaging the present attempt.
4-CHAPTER OF PERSPECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:
It clearly brings out the outline of the project, general assumption, vertificational techniques through applicational aspects of the project for the common use.
5- CHAPTER OF ACTUAL WORKDONE:
It provides related. Sketches, photographs of the models exhibited in sequential order of presentation to exemplify.
6- CHAPTER OF APPLICATIONAL ASPECTS;
It deals with cost efficiency factor, applicational viability and other such related facets pertaining to the project work.
7- CHAPTER OF SAMPLE STUDY:
It involves applications, observation, verification of facts and figures,
Collection and presentation of the findlings whether encouraging or discouraging results.
8- CHAPTER OF IIIUSTRATIONS:
It suggests ways and means for practical application with the final message as the essence of the project work.
9- CHAPTER OF BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCE:
Here the students enlist the list of books, journal referred and websites visited with their names and publications of titles.
