Abstract
Locker Management allows you to manage your center’s lockers. Using this system, you can setup lockers in the system, then assign and vacate thoselockers necessary.
The system also manages the financial aspect of lockermanagement, allowing you determine how your center charges for locker rental, and then handling the payment of that rental. This
document assumes you have read the System Overview Reference to the Manual and know the the screen layout, action icons, and how to use the navigation icons to move through thesystem screens. This book is designed to accompany system use in other words, while you are actually using the system. For that reason, we don’t detract from the procedures by using screen prints (because you are probably looking at the real thing as you read this!). this Of course,to access the Locker Management module, you must first log onto the BOSS system. If necessary,to see your System Administrator or center Manager for User ID and Password information and so for instructions on how to logon. Introduction
Accesses the Locker Range screen, allowing you to create(define) a range of lockers for your center. Accesses the Locker Definition screen, allowing you to defin locker, thereby adding it to your center’s inventory. You canalso use this button to change specific information about alocker. Accesses the Reports screen, allowing you LockerManagement reports. Accesses the Assign Locker screen, allowing you to assignalocker to a customer.are You must first define the locker (seeLocker Definition, above). Accesses the Vacate Locker up screen, allowing you to vacate alocker - in other words, allowing a cust discontinueuse
of the locker. Accesses the Locker History screen, where you canlocker’transactions. The Accesses the Bowler Financial screen, allowing you to acceptpayment for locker transfer money from oneaccount to another. Locker Management Setup
The Locker Management module offers an easy and convenient way to locker to bowlers and other patrons. Before you can do anything in the Locker Management ,this system, however, you need to define the lockers (so the systemknows they exist!), as well as configure other locker parameters. This sectioncovers the following functions:
• Defining Lockers
• Defining A Range Of Lockers
• Editing Locker Definitions
• Deleting A Locker
Before you can rent a locker to a customer, you have to let the system know that the locker exists. To define a locker:
• On the Main screen, press Locker Definition or press . The Locker
Definition screen appears.
• In the Locker Number box, enter the new locker’s number. You can enter
numbers and letters in this box.
• In the Key Nbr/Combination box, type the master key number and/or
locker combination.
• In the Rate Type drop down list, select the appropriate rate type for the
locker. Your choices, Small, Medium, or Large, correspond to the size of
the locker you are defining.
• In the Rate box, type the rate amount to apply to the locker.
• In the Deposit box, type the amount patrons will deposit for the locker correspond to the size ofthe locker you are defining. . In the box, type the rate amount to apply to the locker In the box, type the amount patrons will deposit for the locker.
. • In the Tax Class drop down list, select the appropriate tax to apply tolocker rentals. See the Administrative Settings Reference Manual for instructions on setting up tax classes.
Editing Locker ,Deleting A Locker
the Main screen, select the locker you want to edit. Note: You can locate a lockerquickly by any column name in the table. Simplyselect a column name from Search By drop down list, then type the value tosearch for in the Search For box. The grid scroll to that locker. Press Locker Definition. The Locker Defappearsshowinginformatio pertaining to the locker you selected. Change the information as necessary. Note: You cannot change the current assignment. Press . You can also press to cancel. You can delete any available locker from the system. To delete a locker: 1. On the Main screen, select the locker you wish to delete. Press . A message appears, asking you if you want to delete the locker. PressYou can also click to cancel. The locker is deleted and
removed from the list.
Working With Lockers Assigning A Locker
You can perform many day-to-day activities pertaining to your center’s lockers.
These activities include:

Editing A Transaction
Transferring Funds Between Accounts
Changing A Locker’s Status
On the Main screen, select a locker with an Available status. Press Assign Locker. The Assign Locker screen appears, displaying all deposit and rate information pertaining to that locker. If you know the Bowler ID of the bowler you wish to add, enter it in thePrimary Assignment box, then pressThat bowler’s name appears. If you do not know the Bowler ID, press The Bowler screen in the Bowler Management system displaying a list of all bowlers in that system. Again, you can only assign entered into the Bowler Management database. For details on how to add bowlers to this list, see System Overview Refer Manual.
Changing A Locker’s Status
To change a locker’s status: On the Main screen, select the locker you wish to change. Press Locker Definition. You can also press . The Locker Definition screen appears showing information pertaining to that locker. In the Status drop down list, select locker’s new status. You cannot change the locker’s status to or from Rented.
Available, Unavailable, or Damaged status.
Press. You can also click to cancel. The information pertaining to the locker is saved. u may see more than one lockerrepresented on the screen; select only the one the customer is paying for inthis transaction.An area displaying the deposit due,balance, and amount appears on theright of your screen.If the customer does not owe anythipressto return to the main Locker screen.If the customer does owe money, collect the amount from the customer,enter that amount in the Amount Due box, and pre You can alspressto cancel. The sub-total, tax, and total due appear on the left your screen.Repeat for each additional rented locker the customer is paying for with this transaction.
