hi sir, am saikeerthi doing final year mechanical engg in smit chennai.. am doing project on pneumatic shaper for aluminum material .. almost we r on the completion stage now.. but we are still in doubt about the cutting force calculation sir.wCutting force , F = A * Tβ ( N )
Where,
A → Shear area ( mm2 )
Tβ → Shear strength = 80% of tensile strength ( N / mm2 )
Shear area, A = L * S
Where,
L → Total cutting length ( mm )
S → Material thickness ( mm )
. Cutting force , F = A * Tβ
= ( 30 * 10 ) * 55.152
Cutting force , F = 16,545.6 N
Tensile strength of Aluminium 1060 Alloy = 68.94 N / mm2
Shear strength, Tβ = 80 % ( 68.94 )
= 55.152 N / mm2 is it correct sir?
