Abstracts: The system is based on security of the home in absence of the owner. The system is based on mainly the GSM modem. The GSM modem enables the system to connect the home security hardware to the global network of GSM. The microcontroller hardware is used to sense the different sensors mounted for checking the status of the devices. The microcontroller checks the status of door sensor, window sensor and temperature sensor. When the door is opened by unknown person the sensor status is changed, which is detected by the microcontroller hardware. The microcontroller sends command to GSM modem. The GSM modem sends the SMS to the owner indicating that door is opened by unknown person.The temperature sensor is used to sense the presence of fire in home. If the temperature goes above the specified average temperature range than the microcontroller sends the command to GSM modem. The GSM modem sends the SMS to owner indicating that the home temperature is above the average temperature. Also the alarm is connected to microcontroller, it sounds when the security break is detected by door open or over voltage. The status of all doors, windows, and temperature is continuously displayed on the 16x2 LCD which is placed at security guard office from which it can check the door, window and temperature status of home. In case that GSM modem is damaged security guard can see the LCD messages and can take necessary actions to overcome the security break event.
