Electromagnetic waves having a higher frequency than television signals are known as microwaves. These waves have a wavelength well below a few millimeters. Due to their low wavelength, these waves are correctly folded from the corners of the objects that come their way. These are basically used to generate beam signals in fixed directions. By using the microwaves on radars can be used to detect flying objects. Therefore, it is clear that these waves can detect flying objects. If they have the ability to detect flying objects, they can also measure the speed of flying objects. Microwaves basically travel with the speed of light.
All antennas used between the transmitting and receiving antennas are known as repeaters. The function of the repeater is to increase the strength of the weak signal. The repeaters amplify the signal again and pass it to the next repeater installed. The cost of installing repeaters is too much. This method can not be used to cover the entire surface of the earth. Another reason is that the earth has many oceans on its surface. Therefore, implementation is not possible. To eliminate this limitation, communication satellites were used. America launched the first communications satellite in 1958.
