Eye College Guwahati, for guiding in this academic venture. His
insights, expertise, innovative input, patience and advice have helped
me to complete my project training timely and satisfactorily. I

PREFACE
The Project entitled “A study of the performance Appraisal
tool carried out at pipeline Headquarters, Oil India Limited, Narangi,
Guwahati”, has been undertaken in partial fulfillment for the
requirement for the degree of Master of Business Administration for
Sikkim Manipal University.
The topic of my study has been chosen by pipeline
Headquarters, Oil Indian Limited, Narangi, Guwahati. The project
commenced from the 05th March 2010 to 25th April 2010. A complete
web was woven taking into consideration 50 employees (25 executive
& 25 worker), to study the performance Appraisal method adopted by
pipeline Headquarters, Oil India Limited. I have used all the data that I
have extracted from the organization present my topic.
I have made effort as best as I could to accomplished the
project successfully, as it the first of its kind in my career.
Every effort has been made by me to avoid spelling and other
mistakes, and for indulgence of the reader for the error that might
have crept in unintentially.
