It attempts to integrate all departments and function across a company to create a single software program that runs off one database.
Overview
Performance Appraisal is a process that involves review and analysis of the performance of an associate who is employed with a company. Appraisal Management is one of the functions of the HR department in the company.
This system is mainly developed with the intention that no employee should be left unnoticed of his performance, which helps in the growth of the self as well as the organization .Here the system takes care of maintaining the employees wise records which keeps track of the performance and based on them which follows a hierarchy the employee performance will be given appraisal.
Existing system
The current employee review and appraisal system works by the one or two managers meeting each month to discuss project performance. They discuss successes and failures of all the software development projects; talking about each of the team members (employees) as a postmortem process. This approach tends to leave people out and likely gives a false impression of actual performance. Managers are complaining they are spending too much time and effort performing reviews and appraisals. They would like Human Resources (HR) department to coordinate an analysis and propose recommendations concerning improvements. Some employees have indicated concern for timeliness and fairness.
By using this system
1. Employees are wasting time waiting for supervision.
2. Employees are wasting time waiting for assignments.
3. There is a lack of communication between employees.
4. Employees are having trouble determining project status.
5. Mistakes are happening due to confusion.
6. Training never happens on time.
7. Annual appraisals are usually late.
Proposed system
An intranet based system where whose appraisal process is now carried out automatically. Also, every user’s access to our tool is logged; such that, if there were any mischief going on, it would be easy to spot what is happening. Also confidentiality of each Appraisal record is maintained at all times. All data of all the employee appraisal process is maintained in one database.
