Abstracts: In today’s world the technology is changing day by day, so to cope up with this new emerging technology. The industrialist has to keep their process more efficient than others or their product manufacturing cost will increase. Thus for such changing technologies it takes lots of investment to renew the process but with the help of automation it becomes easy to increase the efficiency of the process. Also the finished product can be controlled as required just by changing program which doesn’t require any extra cost. Thus it becomes easy to manage the plant as few men can control the whole process easily and reliably. Therefore to make the industry fully automated, it’s a step by step process like firstly according to the process variables the required PLC and SCADA is needed to be select which plays an important role in the whole automation cause they are the hands and mind of the automation. Then secondly after selecting the SCADA the main visualization is needed to be animated through the symbol factory and other available tools in the SCADA. After the screen is ready the program for the movement is needed to be preparing which shows the changes in the process in the plant with real time data acquisition. After the SCADA programming is done then PLC programming is needed to be done which is needed to sense the process variable and give command to machines. Now when both the programming is been done then comes the crucial part of automation which is the communication between SCADA and PLC which need the total analysis of baud rate, communication port available position of the sensors type of sensors everything needed to be considered. Thus by choosing the perfect communication software the communication between SCADA and PLC is set according to the need.
