Management of yellow vein mosaic of Okra through botanicals
ABSTRACT
Different plant products were evaluated against yellow vein mosaic of okra under field conditions. All the plant products reduced the intensity of YVMV significantly. At 60 DAS combination of neem oil and carbofuran recorded minimum disease intensity (6.66%), followed by neem oil (8.89 %) and guava leaf extract + carbofuran (9.72 %), neem leaf extract + carbofuran ( 10.00%), chrysanthemum leaf extract + carbofuran (10.55%), neem leaf extract (13.89%), guava leaf extract (14.72 %), chrysanthemum leaf extract (16.39 %) as compared to 39.17 per cent in unsprayed control plots. At 45 DAS, minimum disease intensity (5.83%) was recorded in neem oil + carbofuran as compared to 36.39 percent in unsprayed control plots, however there was no significant variation among neem oil + carbofuran, neem oil, guava leaf extract + carbofuran, neem leaf extract + carbofuran and chrysanthemum leaf extract + carbofuran.
