GSM BASED PARENTS TRACKING OF THE STUDENT ATTENDANCE IN COLLEGE

AIM:
The main aim of this project is to develop a system, Our RFID attendance sender using GSM is a project which will send the attendance of the students to their parents in the form of SMS (short message service).
PURPOSE:
Education has become an important part of our life. In the process of acquiring knowledge (while studying) parents are very much worried about their children whether they are attending the classes properly or not. They even don’t have time to monitor their children with their busy works. Here is a project which takes out this problem (to the parents).
DESCRIPTION:
It is the time consuming task for parents to check regular presence of the students to the college. And also for the college administrative people it is time consuming task to check each and every student attendance to the parents. But this project gives the intimation to the parents about the bunking of the student for the college through GSM SMS will give and easy, low cost and automatic solution.
This project consists of RFID and GSM. RFID Reader is placed at the entrance. if any student is present within the time then this student presence information is goes to the parents mobiles. If they are late present within the grace period this late presence information is goes to the parent’s mobiles. Or if they absent this particular information goes to the parents mobile. Like every student information is sends to different numbers.
The controller gets information from RFID card reader and sends the SMS to pre-stored parent’s mobile no. The controller gets communicates with GSM modem serially using MAX 232 serial driver.
The smart message service (SMS) is sent with the help of GSM modem (Modulator/Demodulator).Here the time and date maintained by using a Real Time Clock circuitry. So finally the parent gets the information about their children’s attendance.

Every system is automated in order to face new challenges in the present day situation. Automated systems have less manual operations, so that the flexibility, reliabilities are high and accurate. Hence every field prefers automated control systems. Especially in the field of electronics automated systems are doing better performance.
Probably the most useful thing to know about the global system for mobile communication is that it is an international standard. If you travel in parts of world, GSM is only type of cellular service available. Instead of analog services, GSM was developed as a digital system using TDMA technology.
