Introduction
Femtocells are low-power wireless access points that operate to connect standard mobile devices to a mobile operator’s network using residential cable broadband connections.
It connects to the service provider’s network via broadband, current designs typically support 2 to 5 mobile.
This technology may be better known to the user as an Access Point Base Station, a small device which is installed in the home or office in order to offer better support to mobile phones there.
