Modeling and Simulation different of stadium designs
Abstract
Sports stadiums are increasingly used to host a wide variety of activities that attract large attendances, ranging from sports matches to concerts, festivities and conferences. Therefore spectators and players’ comfort is a very important point that must be taken into consideration.
One of the crucial aspects of spectators’ comfort in stadiums is protection from wind and rain, also providing a comfort zone for the spectators where different parameters such as air velocity, temperature and pressure do not exceed certain limits to provide satisfactory conditions for spectators.
Therefore, this research will discuss different roof and stadium designs and how they affect different parameters to ensure spectators and players’ comfort at all times while maintaining a good indoor air quality with sufficient fresh air and good exhaust discharge. Also in the near future, most stadiums will be air conditioned; therefore this study will be very important in preventing cold air from being leaked outside and hot air from getting inside, for maximum cooling efficiency, with least amount of heat loss as possible.
