A "code of conduct" is a set of rules defining norms and rules and responsibilities of or practices appropriate for, a person, a party or organization. related concepts include ethics, honor, moral codes and religious laws.
In its international good practice 2007, "Definition and development of a code of conduct effective for organisations", the International Federation of Accountants [1] has provided the following definition:
"Principles, values, standards, or rules of conduct that guide the decisions, procedures and systems of an organization in a way that (a) contributes to the well-being of its key stakeholders, and (b)" respects the rights of all constituents affected by its operations. ".
A code of conduct common is written for the employees of a company, which protects the company and informs employees of society's expectations. It is ideal for the smallest of businesses to form a document containing important information on the expectations of employees. The document doesn't need to be complex or have developed policies, but the file needs a simple basis of what society expects of each employee.
A code of conduct can be an important step in the establishment of an inclusive culture, but not an overall solution on its own. A culture of ethics is created by the organization leaders who demonstrate their ethics in their attitudes and behaviour. [2] studies of codes of conduct in the private sector show that their effective implementation must be part of a learning process that requires training, consistent application, and measurement / continuous improvement. [3] simply require members to read the code is not enough to ensure they understand and remember its contents. [4]
Proof of effectiveness CoC is when employees / members feel sufficiently comfortable to express their concerns and believe that the Organization will respond with appropriate measures
