The Urban Plans are the main legal instrument of planning against which the use and development of the land is guided and properly controlled. Urban Planning Plans (TPS) establish how land will be used and developed, classify land use areas and include provisions for coordinating infrastructure and development within the local government area.
The Planning and Development Regulation (Local Planning Plans) of 2015 entered into force on 19 October 2015 and includes Budget Provisions that automatically apply to all local planning plans. The Budget Provisions relate mainly to the administrative functions of a plan and include provisions relating to heritage protection, the process for the preparation and approval of local planning policies, structure plans, activity center plans and development plans local. to deal with development approval applications, and application and administration.
Presumed Provisions
Wyndham County East Kimberley currently operates under two City Planning Plans. The urban plans aim at:
• Leave land for the continuous development of the city in areas suitable for urban development.
• Limit the development of lands considered unsuitable for urban uses because of the adverse effects of flooding and other physical restrictions.
• Adjust the terrain balance within the Scheme Area for various purposes described in the Scheme.
• Provide development policies and controls for the purpose of securing land, maintaining orderly and properly planned use, and land development within the Scheme Area
• Establish policies for the preservation of sites and places of historical and patrimonial value.
• Reservation of land for public purposes.
• Adjust the balance of land within the Scheme Area for the various purposes described in the Scheme;
• Protect and improve the environmental values and natural resources of the Plan Area and promote the use and ecologically sustainable development of land.
