The robot is in the form of a vehicle mounted with a web cam, which acquires and sends PC images. The movement of the vehicle is controlled by the microcontroller. Our idea is to make a robot to deal with the situation of hostages and the worst conditions that can not be handled by the human being. Therefore humans move out of direct exposure to potentially dangerous situations. The robotic system can perform many security and surveillance functions more effectively than humans. The Keil micro software vision is used to write assembly-level program code to the robot and to transfer the hexadecimal files to the microcontroller.
The "mobile controlled robot" is controlled by a mobile phone that makes a call to the other mobile phone connected to the robot. In the course of a call, if any button is pressed, a tone corresponding to the button pressed will be heard at the other end of the call. This tone is called a double frequency tone (DTMF). The robot perceives this DTMF tone with the help of the phone stacked in the robot. The received tone is processed by the microcontroller with the aid of an IC decoder. The microcontroller then transmits the signal to the motor drive integrated circuits to drive the motors. Since this robot is controlled by dialing a call it can also be called as a DTMF controlled robot.
