This functionality is achieved by detecting the status of the vehicle in theft mode and sending an SMS that is generated automatically. This SMS is sent to the owner of the vehicle. The owner can return the SMS tin command to deactivate the ignition of the vehicle. Thus, in this way crimes can be greatly reduced as vehicles today are stolen in large numbers. Therefore, today's vehicles require a high security that can be achieved with the help of this application. How the system works is when a person tries to steal the vehicle, the microcontroller is interrupted and the command is sent to the GSM modem to send SMS. Upon receiving the message, the owner returns the SMS to the GSM modem. This is done to stop the engine. This GSM modem is connected to the microcontroller. This microcontroller in the message reception uses a mechanism that helps to stop the motor. The engine is being used in this project to indicate the ON / OFF status of the vehicle.
You can further improve this project by using a GPS system that helps to find out the exact position of the vehicle with the help of its latitude and longitude which can then be sent to the owner of the vehicle via SMS. This data can be entered by the owner on the Google map to find out the exact location of the vehicle.
It can be understood in the following video:
