The billing system is very complex from network elements that generate use to the billing system to the collection of use, mediation, classification and billing. To simplify the process I will introduce a simple system use scenario as shown in the following figure. The system user navigates through the company site and sees the services of the company, and decides to order one of the available services. If you do not have an account, sign up for a new account, otherwise sign up. Then the user requests to make an order with the selected service. The service may be prepaid where you have to pay to have credits to use the service, or it may be postpaid, where you have to pay if the service has setup or setup fees, and later will pay for your use of each billing cycle.
