The wireless intelligent video camera described in this document is designed using a wireless video monitoring system to detect the presence of a person within the restricted area. This type of automatic wireless video monitors is very suitable for isolated and restricted areas, where strict security is required. The principle of remote sensing is used to detect the presence of anyone who is very close to the reference point in the area.
A video camera collects the images from the reference points and then converts them into electronic signals. The collected images are converted from visible light into invisible electronic signals into a solid-state imager. These signals are transmitted to the monitor. Each reference point is arranged with two infrared LEDs and one lamp. This arrangement is made to detect the presence of a person who is near the reference point. The reference point is nothing more than a restricted area, when a person approaches any reference point, then that output of the particular reference point will become high and this high signal will be fed to the computer. The computer now energizes that particular reference point lamp and rotates the video camera toward that reference point to collect the images at that particular reference point. To turn the camcorder to the interrupted reference point, the stepper motor is used.
The video surveillance unit is designed for the widest viewing range and portability possible. The unit consists of a stepper motor, which drives the camera towards the reference points automatically by the computer and a transmitter transmits the images collected by the camera to a distant end. Therefore, an automatically controlled wireless camera is very useful for surveillance of places where the particular location makes it inconvenient or impractical for a cable operation of the unit. The robotic action performed by the stepper motor is connected to the camera and allows maximum area monitoring with a single camera.
Such configuration can be very flexible for the user and can save valuable resources of the company. There are several types of security systems in the Market; one of the most common security systems is CCTV (closed circuit television). CCTV consists of the video surveillance camera used as a security monitoring device that plays an important role in security systems. One reason for this is the fact that a picture is worth a thousand words. This is especially true in a court where an eyewitness is required to locate the criminal at the scene of the crime.
CCTV systems are also useful in the residential security market. They allow homeowners to see callers, thus establishing their identity before opening an outside entrance door. This is an important feature as well, because otherwise, they could open the door for a criminal.
The infrared detection circuit consists of two infrared LEDs to transmit the signal and receive the signal. The signal transmitted by the transmission LED omits the signal on a line such as the laser beam, the radiated signal from the transmission LED is invisible and harmless. Each time the human body interrupts the transmission signal, the signal is reflected there and this reflected signal is received by the infrared reception LED.
