Abstracts: WATER IS RIGHT OF EVERYONE, BUT ARE WE ABLE TO PROVIDE EVERYONE A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF DRINKING WATER? Anyone who is being asked this question will be in great dilemma whether to say “yes” or “no”. To cope with worst situation of water scarcity, “privatization of water is one of the few ways”. Privatization of water-Privatization of water is defined as the private sector participation in the water services and water supply system. “We are not at all supporting privatization of water or water metering but we are giving technical view that if in future we have to compulsorily provide water meters then what will be the consequences of it.” Also if water is being privatized, then people should know the actual cost of water they are getting. Today water is not a commodity but after some years it can become a regular commodity and before it becomes a regular product people should know the actual value of precious water.
